Larijani: Peace in Iraq depends on foreign troop’s withdrawal
Tehran, Oct 4, IRNA – Withdrawal of foreign troops is the only way toward establishing peace and security in Iraq, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said here Monday.
Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with a visiting Iraqi religious scholar, Ayatollah Bahrol-Oloum.
Calling for the development of relations between both sides,
Larijani stressed that Iran wished the establishment of peace and stability in its entire neighboring countries, including Iraq.
Bahrol-Oloum, for his part, thanked the Iranian officials and nation for their support of the oppressed nations in the world and those within the Muslim world.
"If Muslims unite, their enemies will not be able to defeat or weaken them," he stressed./end
