Iran-UAE: 6th Joint Consular Conference begins in Tehran

Tehran, Oct 4, IRNA – The 6th Consular Conference of Iran and the UAE, headed jointly by the deputy foreign ministers of both sides, began at the country's Foreign Ministry here on Monday.
According to the officil website of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, other officials of the two countries in this conference include coast guard commanders, custom clearance chiefs, police commanders, and legal affairs deputies of the Judiciary Forces.
Deputy Foreign Minister in Consular and Parliamentary Affairs Hassan Qashqavi and the UAE Deputy Foreign Minister Sadeq Ahamd al-Yahdan are heading the two countries’ delegations at the conference.
Also present at the conference, that will end Tuesday night, are ambassadors of Iran and the UAE and the two sides’ discussions are focused over various issues, including consular affairs, such as visa issuance, resolving problems related to prisoners of both countries in each other’s jails, facilitating customs clearance obstacles between both sides, judiciary and disciplinary issues.
At the end of the two-day conference the heads of both countries' delegations are to sing the Communiqué of the Sixth Consular Conference of Islamic Republic of Iran and United Arab Emirates.
It is to be noted that the commanders of the two countries coast guards, who are surveying the issues of mutual concern at an exclusive committee would eventually, too, sign a separate document on respective reached agreements./end
