S. Korea offers US$200,000 in flood aid to Thailand

SEOUL (Yonhap) - South Korea will send US$200,000 in cash to help victims of recent severe floods in Thailand, the foreign ministry said Wednesday.
The deluge has damaged millions of homes and factories in more than 30 states of Thailand, killing 261 people as of Monday, the ministry said in a statement, adding the money will be sent to the Thai Red Cross.
Thailand is scrambling to prevent the waters from spreading to its low-lying capital Bangkok.
