Solution of problem of deficit of electricity
Taldykorgan, 25 September 2008, (Khabar) - The Almaty region and Chinese state electropower corporation "Datang" plan to realize several projects on solution of problem of deficit of electricity in the region. In Taldykorgan the sides signed documents on founding of joint Kazakhstani-Chinese enterprise on Koksu river.
First hydroelectric power station will be built
by the end of 2009 and second one will be ended in 2010. Serik Umberov,
governor of Almaty region suggested the Chinese corporation to participate
into realization of other energetic projects of the region - construction of
wind power station in Jungar Gates and Shelek wind corridor and construction
of small hydroelectric power stations of Zhetysu rivers. It is planned to
build 29 hydroelectric power stations before 2016 in Almaty region with
general power 618 mega watts. Balkhash heat electropower station will supply
southern Kazakhstan with energy. Its construction will be begun this year
for the state funds. And 70% of financing will be from investors.
Ian Jin, deputy of general director of "Datang" corporation:
- We will take an active part in tender for the construction of Balkhash
heat electropower station and our corporation discusses issues concerning
construction of heat electropower station on Koksu river together with
"Zhersu" corporation.
