‘Iran, Burundi share similar views on international issues’

TEHRAN, Nov.8 (MNA) – During a meeting with Burundian Foreign Minister Augustin Nsanze in Tehran on Sunday, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that Tehran and Bujumbura share similar views on international issues. He also extended his appreciation of Burundi's support for Iran in the international arena and said that the two countries can take major steps on their path to prosperity through promoting mutual cooperation in all areas. During the meeting, the foreign minister submitted the written message of Burundian President Pierre Nkurunziza to Ahmadinejad. Nsanze also said that the world is undergoing a paradigm shift and that Europe and the United States are on the brink of collapse. The minister went on to say that certain countries, including Iran, which have great capabilities could play a major role in the future of the world. The Islamic Republic has a prominent position in the world and Burundi supports the Iranian nation's rights in the international arena, he said.
