Iran volleyball team eyes Olympic berth

TEHRAN, Nov. 17 (MNA) -- Iran volleyball team will fight for a place in the London 2012 Olympic Games in the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup in Japan. The tournament will run from November 20 to December 4 and will see the top three teams qualify for the Games. The qualified teams will join Great Britain as the team has already secured a berth as the host country. A total of 12 teams will take part in the contest, all of which will have qualified for the tournament through their respective continental competitions, either as the champions or as one of the four best runners-up from around the world. Additionally, two wildcards were selected with hosts Japan also set to compete.
