Iranian distributor has big plans for making anti-Zionist films

TEHRAN,Nov. 17 (MNA) -- The managing director of Iran’s Jebraeil Film Distributing Company announced that Zionists should wait for the company’s big plans for making anti-Zionist films. Mohsen Sadeqi made the remark in response to an objection by Radio Israel on the nationwide screening of the anti-Zionism film “The Saturday’s Hunter”, which has been distributed by Jebraeil. The company has announced its plan to screen the film in Iranian universities and seminaries. “The film is still being screened in eight theaters in Tehran and according to a poll conducted by the IRIB, over 40 percent of the film audience called the film excellent,” Sadeqi added. He said that the university students and theologians asked for screening of the film and the company “is obligated to fulfill their desires.” “It is natural that the Zionists are angry about the film screening which make us more strong-willed,” he said. “Unfortunately several officials and organizations do not agree to support the film although it is an important movie which makes Zionists angry,” he lamented. He warned that he will publish the name of organizations which support the film project in the near future and will also complain about those institutions which refuse to support the movie. Directed by Parviz Sheikhtadi, Ali Nasirian, Amir-Yal Arjomand, Darine Hamze and Mehdi Faqih star in “The Saturday Hunter”. The film narrates the story of a Jewish widow who marries a Christian man. The grandfather of her son asks her to bring his grandson to spend a short time with him after which the boy can decide whether to stay with his mother or his grandfather. “It is the first movie that reveals some novel aspects about Zionism, focusing on radical Zionism,” Sheikhtadi previously mentioned in a press release.
