UFP is not restricted to member groups : Iranian UFP spokesman
TEHRAN, Nov. 19 (MNA) -- United Front of Principlists (UFP) spokesman Ali Akbar Velayati said the UFP wants “true principlists” and those who are “loyal” to the system and the revolution take control of the next parliament and this does not mean that all parliament candidates should be from the groups member to the UFP.
“All people and groups who are committed to the principlist charter can introduce their candidates to the United Front of Principlists.”
Valayati, a former foreign minister who currently serves as a senior foreign policy advisor to the Supreme Leader, said there is no alternative other than “principlist” approach in order to protect the interests of the country and the revolution, and said “the principlist charter which has been drawn up by the ‘Jam-e’atein’ (the Society of Combatant Clergy and the Association of Qom Seminary Teachers) is very comprehensive.”
