Iran’s self-esteem has shattered arrogant powers’ will: Supreme Leader

TEHRAN, Nov. 29(MNA) – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei says that the Iranian nation’s self-esteem has eroded away arrogant powers’ will.
The Leader made the remarks during a meeting with Navy commanders and personnel in Tehran on Monday to commemorate the National Navy Day, which is celebrated on November 28.
“The Islamic Revolution built self-esteem of the nation and country’s officials, and Iran, thanks to its self-esteem, has stood up to greatest arrogant powers and colonialists and has shattered their will,” he stated.
“If a nation feels weakness before the enemy, it will not get anywhere,” he noted.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the Leader highlighted the role of the Navy in defending the country and said that protecting the security of the country’s southern waters (the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman) is highly important.
He also advised the Navy and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Naval Force to redouble their efforts to efficiently carry out their missions.
At the beginning of the meeting, Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari gave a report about the strong presence of the Iranian naval warships in open seas, the Navy’s intelligence dominance over the country’s maritime borders, Navy’s missile defense capabilities, its future plans, and effective cooperation between the Navy and the IRGC Naval Force.
