SONY DWI KUNCORO GETS THIRD TITLE THIS YEAR
Jakarta, Sept 28 (ANTARA) - Fifth seed men's singles Sony Dwi Kuncoro got another title this year Sunday after beating Chinese fourth seed Chen Jin 21-19, 21-18 in China Masters Super Series.
The title belonged to Kuncoro after finishing a 51 minutes tight-game.
"The winnings is a good start to reach higher achievemnet," Kuncoro's coach Hendrawan said.
"Moreover, there will be two important competitions, World Championship and All England," Hendrawan added.
The victory reached in Changzhou Olympic Sports Center is the third title for Kuncoro this year and the second after winning the Indonesia Open last June and Japan Open Super Series last week.
The achievement also made the meeting records between Kuncoro and the world's number four Chen became 2-2 in their four meetings.
In the 200 thousand USD competition, Indonesia has three finalists--Kuncoro, mixed double Nova Widianto and Liliyana Natsir, and men's doubles Markis Kido and Hendra Setiawan.
Indonesia's mixed doubles has to be satisfied with runner-up title after losing againt host Xie Zhongbo and Zhang Yawen 17-21, 17-21.
