Headed by Suleyman Farzaliyev, more than half of the series is dubbed into Azeri and is ready for broadcast by the network. Farzaliyev, who is also one of the translators of “Mokhtarnameh”, announced that suitable dubbing has been done on the series to preserve its professional quality. The translation project of the TV series began in early 2011 and its translation and revision took four months, he said. “Over half of the dubbing project of the TV series has been completed and it was submitted to the Sahar TV. Only a portion of the work needs to be completed by seven actors who are now busy on another project,” he added. Sabuhi Imanov, Sayyar Rustamov, Elshan Rustamov, Rashad Bakhtiyarov, and Rafael Dadashov are among the dubbers of the series. Farzaliyev has previously managed the dubbing project of the “Prophet Joseph (AS)” for Sahar TV. Directed by Davud Mirbaqeri over a period of eight years, the 40-episode “Mokhtarnameh” is about an uprising organized by Mokhtar Saqafi after the events of Ashura, the 10th of Muharram, to take revenge against the killers of Imam Hussein (AS). The last episode of the TV series was broadcast on IRIB’s Channel 1 on July 29. Turkey’s Kanal 7 previously broadcasted the TV series for Turkish audiences.
