By opening virtual embassy U.S. admits mistake in cutting ties, Iran says

TEHRAN, Dec. 10 (MNA) – Iran`s Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday that the launch of virtual embassy proves that the U.S. States is acknowledging that it made a mistake by severing ties between the Iranian and American people in 1979.
“Before anything else the U.S. administration’s resort to such an initiative is, in fact, an admission of a great mistake by the U.S. administration in cutting relations between the two nations and turning its back to the Iranian nation,” Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said.
“However,” Mehmanparast added, “Such virtual initiatives cannot compensate such a mistake, or as it has been announced, to transfer the message of the U.S. to the Iranian people.”
The spokesman sarcastically said the Iranian nation “has received the message of the American administration through sanctions, the downing of passenger airplane over the Persian Gulf, the White House’s support for terrorist groups such as Monafeqin, Rigi, and Tondar, all-out, and of course unsuccessful, struggle against the technological progresses of Iranian scientists, the leveling of baseless charges, and other destructive moves against the Iranian nation.”
He suggested that “it is better” that the United States, “take lessens from the past and sincerely change it approach toward the great nation of Iran.”
