Quakes hit south, northeast Iran

TEHRAN, Dec. 10 (MNA) – An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.9 on the Richter scale struck the city of Lamard in the southern province of Fars early on Friday, injuring 2 people. Also, an earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale hit the city of Esfarayen in North Khorasan Province on Thursday. There was no report of possible casualties.
