No request received on U.S. drone : Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson

TEHRAN, Dec. 13 (MNA) – During his regular press briefing on Tuesday , Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ramin Mehmanparast dismissed news reports saying that Russian and Chinese officials have asked for permission to inspect the aircraft and are seeking to gain access to intelligence on the drone. “Taking over the U.S. unmanned aircraft, which has such sophisticated technology, by our country’s military officials, was such a heavy (defeat) and so humiliating for the U.S. that it is seeking to create a new and artificial atmosphere to divert attention from the issue in question. Western officials themselves are now raising various issues through their own media outlets so that the main issue would slip into oblivion… No request has been made… This is a plan meant to divert attention from their historic defeat,” he stated.
