Iran, Tatarstan Review Ways To Expand Ties

Tehran, Dec 19, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi discussed on Sunday with Visiting President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov ways of expanding mutual cooperation. Salehi expressed happiness with expansion of economic ties and cooperation between the Tatarstan Republic and Iranian border provinces. Salehi also expressed satisfaction on academic interactions between the two countries’ universities as well as exchange of students and professors. He voiced Iran’s readiness to cooperate with Tatarstan Republic in different fields of interests. Minnikhanov expressed satisfaction with his visit to the Islamic Republic and meetings with Iranian officials and said Tatarstan is determined to expand ties with Iran. He also expressed hope that Tatarstan would have suitable position in Iran-Russa ties. “Praising Iran’s progress in different fields, Minnikhanov underlined Tatarstan’s inclination to cooperate with Iran in oil, car manufacturing, energy and other fields of mutual interests./end
