Tehran sympathizes with disaster-hit Philippines

TEHRAN, Dec. 21 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi sent a message of sympathy to Philippine Foreign Minister Albert Del Rosario expressing deep sorrow at deadly natural disasters that have recently affected the country. Flash floods and landslides caused by a typhoon swept through a southern region late last week, killing about 1,000 people and leaving tens of thousands homeless, according to Reuters.
