Iraqi police denies rocket attacks on MKO camp

TEHRAN,Dec.27(MNA)-- Iraqi police officials rejected reports claiming that rocket attacks had been made on Camp New Iraq in Diyala Province. The residents of the camp had reported a rocket attack on the camp. MKO members said Katyusha rockets struck near housing units inside the camp on Sunday night, but did not report any casualties. Police Commander of Diyala province Brigadier General Hussein al-Shamri said that the MKO is spreading such rumors to portray itself as a victim of violence and rally outside support at a time when it should leave Iraq.
