Envoy seeks continued efforts to free Iranians abducted in Syria

TEHRAN, Dec. 29(MNA) – Iranian Ambassador to Syria Mohammadreza Sheibani has called on the Syrian government to continue its efforts to obtain the release of the Iranian engineers and technicians, who have recently been kidnapped in Syria. Ambassador Sheibani made the remarks during a meeting with Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem in Damascus on Wednesday. Unidentified gunmen abducted five Iranian engineers and technicians on December 20 and two other Iranians on December 21 in the restive Syrian city of Homs.
