Iran congratulates Iraq on U.S. troop pullout

TEHRAN, Jan. 1 (MNA) - The Iranian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Sunday stressing that the pullout of American troops from Iraq after 8 years was a great political and security achievement for Iraq. “The Islamic Republic of Iran congratulates its brother-like nation, Iraq, on this auspicious achievement,” part of the statement said.
