Transited goods via Iran surpass 7.2 million tons

TEHRAN,Jan.3 (MNA)--More than 7.24 million tons of goods were transited through Iran since the beginning of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2011), Iranian deputy roads and urban development minister stated. Sahriyar Afandizadeh told that 6.58 million tons the goods, equaling 91 percent of the total, were transited via the road network. Fuel, construction materials, foodstuff and cotton were the main transited goods, he said.
