Turkish foreign minister meets with Iranian first vice president

TEHRAN (A.A) – January 5, 2012 - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, who is currently visiting Iran, had meetings with Iranian officials on Wednesday.  Davutoglu met with Iranian First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi and Foreign Affairs Minister Ali Akbar Salehi. Davutoglu and Rahimi discussed bilateral relations and regional matters in their meeting. In the other meeting, Davutoglu and Salehi took up several issues such as Iraq, Syria and Africa. During his talks on Thursday, Davutoglu will meet with Saeed Jalili, the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council. He is also expected to be received by Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani and Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadi-Nejad.
