‘IRGC to practice closing Hormuz Strait in shortest time possible’

TEHRAN, Jan.8 (MNA) – Iranian MP Esmaeil Kowsari of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee said that the naval war games, which will be staged by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Naval Force in late January, are meant to enhance armed forces’ capabilities so that they can close the Strait of Hormuz in the shortest time possible when the situation requires it. The IRGC plans to practice its ability to close the Strait of Hormuz during the naval maneuvers, which will begin on January 27 in the Persian Gulf.
