Senior Pakistani Politician Dies In London

Islamabad, Jan 11, IRNA – A senior Pakistani politician Pir Pagara died in a London hospital late Tuesday night after a protracted illness, his family said. He was 83. Pir Pagara, the leader of Hurs in Sindh province of Pakistan, was also chief of Pakistan Muslim League (functional). He was flown to London last week after his health deteriorated in a hospital in Karachi. According to his close family members Pir Pagara suffered severe breathing problem & doctors had said his condition is extremely critical. On the political side he was known as the 'King Maker' as many people who had his political blessings came into power. Most notably his Hur disciple Mohammed Khan Junejo who became the Prime Minister of Pakistan in mid 80s./end
