Turkish fm meets Maronite patriarch in Lebanon

BEIRUT (A.A) - January 14, 2012 - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met Christian Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi in Lebanon on Saturday. This was the first high-level visit to a Maronite patriarch from Turkey. Following the meeting, Davutoglu told reporters that people in the region should live in peace, adding that all cultures, religions and peoples in the Middle East should live together. We exchanged views about the recent developments in the Middle East. We also invited Patriarch al-Rahi in Turkey, and he welcomed the invitation, said Davutoglu.
