Turkish foreign minister attends UN meeting in Beirut

BEIRUT (A.A) - January 15, 2012 - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu attended a UN meeting entitled "Reform and Transitions to Democracy"  organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) in Beirut, Lebanon. Speaking at a closed session on recent developments in the region, Davutoglu conveyed Turkey's views about the sociological developments in the Middle East and the Arab Spring. Davutoglu will also hold meetings with representatives of non-governmental organizations as well as religious leaders in Lebanon later in the day.
