Turkish environment minister meets Iran's foreign minister

ANKARA (A.A) - January 18, 2012 - Turkish Environment & Urbanization Minister Erdogan Bayraktar met Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi within the scope of the 23rd term meeting of Turkey-Iran Joint Economic Commission meeting in Ankara on Wednesday. Following the meeting, which was closed to press, Environment Ministry stated that Turkey was determined to increase its commercial and economic relations with Iran and all regional countries to the highest level. Turkey and Iran aimed to set a new road map in every area especially on commercial and economic relations, said the ministry. The ministry added that Turkey-Iran foreign trade volume, which was one billion USD in 2000, increased to 10.7 billion USD in 2010, and 14.9 billion USD in the first 11 months of 2011.
