Oman to organise road shows in India to attract tourists

Dubai, Jan 19 (PTI) In a bid to attract high-end tourists, Oman will organise road shows in four Indian cities next month. The Oman Tourism road show will be held on February 3 in Mumbai, February 6 in Bangalore, February 7 in Chennai and February 8 in New Delhi. "We are conducting these road shows to educate the Indian travel trade on the potential of Oman being an ideal destination for clients looking for luxurious short haul vacations," said Lubaina Sheerazi, India Representative of the Ministry of Tourism, Oman. "This year we have more participants as compared to last year which will surely bring out the best of Oman to the Indian travel trade. This will also give the travel trade an opportunity to interact with the delegates." She also said that her department sees India as one of the most promising markets with a lot of Indians going globetrotting these days. Besides, Oman Tourism plans to continue its offline training programmes in the four metros as well as some additional cities. PTI
