Turkish energy minister says no natural gas shortage
ANKARA (A.A) - January 19, 2012 - Turkish energy minister said on Thursday that there was no natural gas or electricity shortage that could affect citizens.
Replying to a question, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz said that current harsh weather conditions were remarkably different from the previous years'.
"As of yesterday, natural gas demand in Ankara was 18 million cubic meters, but the figure was 12 million cubic meters the same day last year," he said.
There was no natural gas shortage that could affect citizens right now, he added.
