Ceremony held to hand over operating rights of Iskenderun Port to Limak corp.

ANKARA (A.A) - January 23, 2012 - A ceremony was held to hand over the operating rights of Iskenderun Port to Limak Investment Corp. in Ankara on Monday. Operating rights of Iskenderun Port, which belonged to Turkish State Railways (TCDD), will be handed over to Limak Investment Corp. for the next 36 years. In an auction on September 28, 2010, Limak gave the highest bid for Iskenderun Port with 372 million USD. Privatization Administration approved the auction on January 7, 2012. Iskenderun Port takes place in Turkey's eastern Mediterranean region. Turkish Justice Minister Sadullah Ergin, Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, and Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim are attending the ceremony.
