Turkish economy minister meets Tunisian industry minister

TUNIS (A.A) - January 23, 2012 - Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan met Tunisian Industry & Trade Minister Mohamed Lamine Chakhari on Monday. Caglayan said that Tunisia triggered the efforts to gain people's democratic rights and freedoms in the Middle East, adding that Tunisia became the cradle of democracy. Caglayan expressed hope that Turkish-Tunisian friendship would continue in the new period too. Noting that Turkey was ready to cooperate with Tunisia in commerce, tourism and other areas, Caglayan said that Turkey would encourage its companies to invest in Tunisia. Chakhari said that Tunisia was a second country for Turks, and added that none of the obstacles would be able to destroy the ties between Turkey and Tunisia.
