Forum of European association of cardio surgeons

Lisbon, 3 October 2008, (Khabar) - Kazakhstani cardiac surgeons and
expediters visited Portugal and participated in the annual meeting of the European association of thoracic and cardiac surgeons.

Knowledge of the latest technologies of foreign cardiac surgery was presented in seminar
classes, in the operating rooms of Portuguese clinics and by the
presentation of companies which specialize in the production and
installation of cardiology operating units.

Arystan Seidalin, professor, lead cardiac surgeon of Ministry for Healthcare
of Kazakhstan, cardiology department head, Syzganov Scientific and research
Centre of surgery:
- The fact that we were invited here shows that our country has cardiac
surgeons who are able to dialogue head-to-head with representatives of the
world's best clinics. We are very interested in transplant methods, although
we still do not practice this technique but will soon resolve this issue.

The methods and technologies presented by foreign scientists and developers
resonate with the concept of the "Program of cardiology and cardio surgical
help in Kazakhstan".

Bogdan Gorbunov, cardiology equipment manager:
- The world producers which were presented here are lawmakers in cardio
surgery. They are very interesting because of their innovations and
achievements both in Europe and in the world. Our aim is to secure the
presence of these companies on the Kazakhstan market which will help the
development of the country's healthcare in general.
