Clashes in Libya continue

BANI WALID (A.A) - Troops of Libya's National Transitional Council (NTC) have surrounded the city of Bani Walid as clashes continue there following the end of the Gadhafi regime. Clashes in Bani Walid have increased in the past one week. While officials say that the city is under the control of the NTC forces, the question of whether the Libyan revolution is about to end came to minds. The uniforms of NTC troops who have surrounded Bani Walid were donated by Turkey. Speaking to the AA, a commander of the NTC forces Muhammad Al Aftar said that they were grateful to Turkey and Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan for the support extended to them during the civil war and later. "Turkey is a friendly country and will always remain so," Aftar underlined. (Reporting by Murat Demirci)
