Oil Minister: Raising Oil Output, Ministry’s Priority

Ahvaz, Khouzestan Prov., Jan 30, IRNA – Iran's Oil Minister Rostam Ghassemi said that raising the oil output by relying on domestic potential is the priority of the Oil Ministry. In a message to the opening session of the 3rd Specialized Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition in southwestern Khuzestan Province, Ghassemi said the Oil Ministry has set its main goal as increasing national production by relying on indigenized workforce in all upstream and downstream sectors in the 20-Year Vision Plan. He said Iranian oil industry serves as one of the most important pillars of energy sector worldwide and the industry’s self-sufficiency would be highly influential in national development./end
