Turkey readies first container houses for Syrian refugees

KILIS (A.A) - February 6, 2012 - Part of Syrian refugees taking shelter in tent sites in Turkey's south are set to move to their container houses. A total of 40 Syrian families who fled unrest in their country will move on Monday to the new container housing site in the southern province of Kilis, Yusuf Odabasi, local governor, told the Anadolu Agency. The site is large enough to hold 2 thousand containers to house a total of 10 thousand people.  All Syrian refugees who currently took shelter in tent sites in the southern towns of Reyhanli, Altinozu and Yayladagi will move to the container houses. The new housing site also includes a health center, school and a sports facilities.
