Turkish foreign minister holds talks in Washington

WASHINGTON (A.A) - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu held several meetings at U.S. Congress in Washington on Thursday.
Davutoglu discussed Turkish-U.S. relations, Syria, Iraq, Iran's nuclear program, Arab Spring, Caucasus and Balkans during his talks.
Davutoglu also conveyed Turkey's expectations from the U.S. in fight against terrorism.
During his stay in Washington, Davutoglu continued his telephone diplomacy on Syria issue.
Davutoglu discussed Syria on the phone with EU high representative Foreign Affairs Catherine Ashton who invited him to the upcoming meeting of EU Foreign Affairs Council.
Minister Davutoglu also held a phone conversation with Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa, and discussed Syria and developments after UN Security Council's voting.
