Turkish charity helps orphans in Sudan and Somalia

KONYA (A.A) - A Turkish charity organization has extended a helping hand to orphans in Sudan and Somalia. Central province of Konya-based charity organization RIDA has been providing assistance to orphans with food, clothing, housing and education in Sudan and Somalia. Speaking to AA correspondent, RIDA's chairman Mehmet Sahin said that children in these countries were suffering from several problems. "We have reached 2,600 orphans in Sudan and 1,000 orphans in Somalia. We are providing food, clothing and education to them. We aim to reach 10,000 in 154 schools in Sudan and 5,000 orphans in Somalia," he said. (Reporting by Mumin Altas)
