Istanbul chief prosecutor tells counterpart in Ankara to summon Turkish top spy for testimony

ISTANBUL (A.A) - The Istanbul chief prosecutor has sent a letter to his counterpart in Ankara on Friday to summon the Under Secretary of the National Intelligence Organization, or MIT, Hakan Fidan, for testimony. An Istanbul prosecutor had ordered Turkey's chief intelligence official to testify under an investigation into an alleged urban network of the terrorist PKK organization on Wednesday. Hakan Fidan as well as the organization's former head Emre Taner and its former deputy head Afet Gunes were called on February 2 to give testimony to the prosecutor with special authority, Sadrettin Sarikaya.   Prosecutor Sarikaya leads the investigation into "the Kurdistan Communities' Union/Turkey Council, or KCK, the alleged urban establishment of PKK. On Friday, an arrest warrant was issued for Emre Taner, Afet Gunes and two other MIT officials.
