Japan Envoy: Post-revolution Iran Incomparable To Pre-revolution Era

Tehran, Feb 13, IRNA - Japanese Ambassador to Tehran Kinichi Komano said on Sunday post-revolutiion Iran with its achievements is not comparable to what it was during pre=revolution era.
He was talking to reporters on the sidelines of his inspection of an Iran-Japan joint agriculture project in Kerman, southern Iran.
Komano said Iran has done a lot in its remote areas after 33 years citing his recrd of service in the country both before and after the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
“Iranian governments have done a lot and struggled to elevate the standards of living in different parts of the country since the victory of the Islamic Revolution,” he said.
Describing conditions of women living in rural areas in Iran as excellent, the Japanese ambassador expressed his country’s readiness to help remove some shortages in remote parts of Iran.
Commenting on his country’s development projects in Iran, Komano said Iran and Japan were now implementing joint projects in the four corners of the country./end
