Salamworld First Global Summit takes place in Istanbul

ISTANBUL (A.A) - February 14, 2012 - The First Global Summit of Salamworld, a social network for Islamic countries, took place in Istanbul's Ciragan Palace on Monday. Salamworld will begin serving in July and will be a platform in which Islamic culture and heritage would be promoted. The First Global Summit of Salamworld was opened with a prayer by the Imam of the Fatih Mosque Osman Sahin. Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent a message to the summit which was attended by dignitaries from 30 countries worldwide. During the summit, an exchange of ideas and views took place to benefit the Islamic world. The summit ended with a concert by Sami Yusuf.
