People in Syria will win over tyranny, says Syrian Turkmens Population Chairman Molla

ISTANBUL (A.A) - Chairman of the Syrian Turkmens Population, Yusuf Molla, said Wednesday that they believed the people in Syria would win over tyranny. Speaking at a press conference announcing their establishment in Istanbul on Wednesday, Molla said that playing a role against the Syrian administration was a medal that the Turkmens deserved. Turkmens living in Syria have been loyal to their homeland throughout history. We condemn the Syrian regime who wants to carry the country into an ethnic clash, Molla underlined. We will work so that those who perform tyranny over their people get punished by laws, Molla stressed. We believe that we can play a crucial role in repairing broken Turkish-Arab relations after the First World War. We want to play a role in the reconstruction of Syria by entering the National Parliament, Molla said. Asked why they chose Turkey to establish the Syrian Turkmens Population, Yusuf Molla said that the majority of their more than 150 members have escaped to Istanbul after running away from torture in Syria. We chose Turkey as it is a free and great country, Molla added.
