Turkish foreign ministry denies allegations different messages given to U.S.
ANKARA (A.A) - February 16, 2012 - Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman denied allegations that different messages were given to the United States regarding Syria.
A daily claimed on Thursday that different messages were given to the U.S. regarding Syria during talks of Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu in the United States and during a visit by Gen. James Mattis, the commander of United States Central Command, to Turkey.
Replying to a question on this news report, Spokesman Selcuk Unal said that such news reports were baseless.
"Our institutions serve in the same direction under instructions by our government," he said.
