Turkish foreign minister leaves for Mexico

ISTANBUL (A.A) - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu left for Mexico on Saturday. Davutoglu will attend an informal meeting of foreign ministers of the G20 countries in Los Cabos, Mexico, scheduled for February 18-20.      The first ever foreign ministers' meeting of the G20 will discuss ways to assume a bigger role in overcoming obstacles before solving global problems and produce a more effective global governance.      Davutoglu is also expected to hold bilateral talks on the sidelines of the meeting. Davutoglu told reporters that following the G20 meeting, he would also attend an international meeting on Somalia in Britain. Noting that he would visit Tunisia on February 24 after Britain, and the meeting of an international platform for Syria would take place. We think we will make important decisions in Tunisia regarding humanitarian aid for Syria, said Davutoglu, adding that Turkey's initiatives would increase regarding the regime in Syria and countries supporting this regime. We are determined to eliminate the vacuum which emerged after the veto in UN Security Council, he noted.
