Italian Envoy: Rome Favors Broadening Ties With Tehran

Chahbahar, Sistan-Baluchestan Prov., Feb 21 ---, IRNA – Italy’s Ambassador to Iran Alberto Bradanini conferred on Monday with the Managing Director of Chahbahar Free Trade and Industrial Zone Shahbaz Yazdani on expansion of trade cooperation between the two countries. Referring to cultural affinity between the two nations, he said Rome seeks to expand political and economic relations with Tehran. Anti-Iran Propaganda by certain countries has depicted a wrong and negative image of Iran, he said, adding that Rome favors broadening relations and cooperation with the Islamic Republic as the most significant and richest country in the region. Italy is willing to invest in various sectors such as tourism, industry and commerce in Chahbahar due to its cozy and untapped nature, he said. It is a golden opportunity for Italian investors to invest in this region, said the Italian ambassador. Yazdani, for his part, underlined the need to further expanion of ties and cooperation between the two countries. Making investments helps lessen challenges and increase interactions among nations, Yazdani said and invited Italian investors to invest in the provincial industrial and tourism sectors./end
