Turkish deputy premier: G20 meetings will focus on global economy

ISTANBUL (A.A) - February 23, 2012 - Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan said that G20 meetings would focus on global economy as well as policies to overcome the global economic crisis.
Babacan, who held a press conference at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport before he flied to Mexico for G-20 ministerial meeting, said that he would attend meetings of Turkey-Mexico Business Council, International Finance Institute, private banks union, and G20 in Mexico.
There will be an agenda item about strengthening the international financial architect, said Babacan, adding that Turkey was co-chair with Australia in this issue, and they would discuss the current stage as well as recommendations.
Regulation of finance sector was another agenda item of G20 meetings, said Babacan, adding that they would also discuss energy and prices of energy products.
Babacan said that Turkish and Mexican businessmen would gather and discuss how to increase cooperation in commerce and investment.
We will also meet Turkish community living in Mexico, and visit Turkish Culture Center, said Babacan.
