Pakistani Legal Expert Defends Iran’s Demand Against Israeli Crimes

Islamabad, Feb 25, IRNA -- Veteran lawyer and former Pakistani politician on Friday defended the Iranian demand asking the United Nations (UN) to check Israel’s continuous crimes throughout the world. Talking to IRNA, Ahmed Raza Khan Kasuri said that unfortunately the United Nations Security Council has been supporting the acts of Israel. “All western powers led by America are backing the actions of Zionist regime,” he said. Iran's Representative to the United Nations, Mohammad Khazaee, in a letter to the rotating head of the United Nations Security Council has cautioned against the immunity of Israel in its crimes. Ahmed Raza Khan Kasuri was of the view that the American politics, economy and media are being controlled by the Jewish lobby. “Iran has made a legitimate demand to the United Nations against the crimes of Israel,” he said. The Iranian envoy in the letter has also rejected the groundless accusations by the Zionist regime regarding Iran's alleged involvement in a wave of bombings in India, Georgia and Thailand. Khazaee said that the Zionist regime with the purpose of distorting the facts lodges baseless accusations against Iran while Tehran has a clear background in condemning the terrorist acts throughout the world. The envoy further noted that the Zionist regime's officials have acknowledged that assassination of Iran's nuclear scientists have been part of their efforts aimed at disrupting Iran's nuclear program. Expressing his views Ahmed Raza Khan Kasuri said that Iran has itself been a victim of terrorism and the allegations of Israel against Iran are false and baseless. He said that Iran on a quiet corner has warned the west that in case of any aggression the Islamic Republic will retaliate effectively against Israel. He stressed that close cooperation among Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan would guarantee the security and well being of the region. Kasuri said that Iran because of its strong leadership is progressing in every field. “Iran is an excellent example for the Muslim world”, he said./end
