Turkish deputy premier: income distribution getting better

MEXICO CITY (A.A) - Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Ali Babacan said that income distribution was getting better in Turkey.
Babacan delivered a speech at the Turkish-Mexican Business Council in Mexico City on Friday.
"We are exerting great efforts to secure equal opportunity in Turkey," he said.
Babacan said that there were several common points between Turkey and Mexico, stating that Mexico was the 11th largest economy and Turkey was the 16th largest economy in the world.
There was a great potential between the two countries, he said.
Trade volume worth 1 billion U.S. dollars between Turkey and Mexico was unacceptable, he said. "With such meetings, the figure will be increased," he said.
Babacan said that Turkey and Mexico should sign civil aviation agreement that would start direct flights and free trade agreement as soon as possible.
Turkey had close ties with East Europe, Caucasus, Central Asia, North Africa and the Middle East, he said. "Turkish businessmen can make business in these regions easily," he said.
Informing participants about Turkish economy, Babacan said that the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party government fulfilled important reforms thanks to macroeconomic policies.
