Turkey-Mexico hold first business forum meeting
MEXICO CITY (A.A) - A business council between Turkey and Mexico held its Turkey-Mexico hold first business forum meeting on Friday with the participation of Rifat Hisarciklioglu, chairman of Turkey's Union of Turkish Chambers of Commerce, and Industry, or TOBB, and president of the country's Foreign Economic Relations Board.
"It seems as Turkish businesspeople we have missed Mexico for a trade partner. If you want to be a global player in commerce you need to do business with Mexico," Hisarciklioglu told businesspeople attending the meeting.
Hisarciklioglu said Mexico was the 11th biggest economy in the world with an export volume of 300 million USD, calling on Turkish and Mexican businesspeople to improve their cooperation.
"Turkey's economy is going smoothly and the country grew the fastest in the first nine months of last year. Turkey is the only European country which did not have to bail out any of its banks," Hisarciklioglu said.
