Sabanci University invests 70 million TL in nano technology

ISTANBUL (A.A) - February 27, 2012 - Chairwoman of the Executive Board of Sabanci Holding, Guler Sabanci, said Monday that they invested 52 million Turkish liras (approx. 29.3 million USD) in the Nano Technology Center of the Sabanci University and that their investment in the center may reach 70 million TL (approx. 39.5 million USD). Speaking to a group of journalists in Istanbul, Guler Sabanci said that Turkey needed products with high added values. As the Sabanci University, we made use of the Turkish government's support for research and development projects and established the Nano Technology Center, Sabanci said. Our companies such as Sasa and Kordsa work with the Nano Technology Center of the Sabanci University. The polyester nano product produced by Kordsa Global was produced in cooperation with the Sabanci University, Guler Sabanci noted. The Nano Technology Center is open to all interested. The center belongs to all of us, Sabanci added.
