Pakistani Media Keenly Observe Iran Elections

Islamabad, March 4, IRNA – Pakistani media keenly observed Iranian Parliamentary elections and major news papers have published the reports on elections on Saturday. Daily ‘Dawn’ in its headline appreciated the big turnout in Iran elections. It said that huge turnout in parliamentary elections is a “blow” to the West. It reported polling stations were being kept open to 11:00 pm (1930 GMT) under the latest extension The newspaper quoted Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as saying vigorous voter participation bolstered “the future, prestige, security and immunity of the country.” ‘Daily Times’ reported that Iranians have voted in a parliamentary election which is expected to reinforce the power of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. 'The Nation’ said that Iranians have voted in a parliamentary election that will fill the 290 seats in parliament. Daily ‘Frontier Post’ reported that Iran Parliamentary vote was seen bolstering Supreme Leader. “The News’ in its story said Iranians have voted in a parliamentary election expected to reinforce the power of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. ‘Express Tribune’ reported that faithful supporters of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei flocked to the polls on Friday. Daily ‘Jang’ hailed the big turnout of Iranian elections.
