Saudi Diplomat Shot Dead In Dhaka

New Delhi, Mar 7, IRNA -- A Saudi Arabian diplomat stationed in Dhaka was shot dead by unidentified assailants at the city's Gulshan area in the early Tuesday, official sources said. Bullet-hit Khalak-al-Ali, 45, who was head of Citizens' Affairs unit of Saudi Embassy in Dhaka was rushed to a private hospital and he subsequently, succumbed to the injury, BSS, national news agency of Bangladesh reported. 'Police found him with wounds caused by a single bullet on his chest some 100 yards off his residence at Gulshan 2. He was rushed immediately to United Hospital where he breathed his last,' BSS reported quoting assistant police commissioner Nurul Alam. Alam, who was in charge of police patrol unit at the diplomatic zone, said that we are yet in dark who killed him and what was the motive. But investigations are on./end
